Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Linear GitHub Panel Chrome extension and the product website (together, the “Product”). By installing, purchasing, or using the Product, you agree to these Terms.

Linear GitHub Panel is independent software. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Linear or GitHub. Those names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

The Product

The Product shows a read-only Linear issue card on GitHub pull request pages. It parses identifiers such as PROJ-123 from the PR title, description, or branch name and fetches issue fields with your Linear Personal API Key.

The Product does not create, edit, or delete Linear issues. It does not provide a Linear or GitHub account.

Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract and must comply with Linear’s, GitHub’s, Google’s, and Chrome Web Store terms that apply to you. Do not use the Product if you are prohibited from receiving it under applicable law.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension on browsers you control, up to the activation limit of your plan.

You may not resell, sublicense, share, or publicly post license keys; reverse engineer the Product except where the law allows; or use the Product to violate Linear, GitHub, or Creem terms.

Your Linear API Key and data

You supply a Linear Personal API Key (bring your own key). The key stays in chrome.storage.local on your Chrome profile. Linear requests go from your browser to Linear. Linear API Keys, GitHub page content, and Linear issue data are not sent to our billing service.

You are responsible for how you create, store, and revoke that key, and for Linear permissions it inherits. See the Privacy Policy.

Plans, trial, and payments

Prices are shown before checkout. Taxes may be added by Creem at checkout.

Creem (creem.io) is the merchant of record. Creem processes payments, invoices, tax, refunds, and chargebacks. Checkout is also subject to Creem’s Buyer Terms. We never receive your full card number.

After payment, Creem emails a license key. Paste it in Settings → Plan & license and choose Activate license.

License keys

A license is valid while Creem reports it as active and unexpired. Typical activation limit is three devices. Deactivate a device in settings before moving the license. We may lock the panel if the key is expired, disabled, refunded, or over the activation limit.

If the billing service is unreachable, an already activated license may keep working for a short offline grace period, then lock until it can be checked again.

Cancellation

Cancel a monthly subscription from the Creem customer portal in your receipt email. Access continues until the end of the current paid period. Lifetime licenses have no renewal to cancel.

Deactivating a device does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Refunds follow the Refund Policy. There is no physical product to return.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse checkout, trials, or license activation; attempt to bypass payment; send malware or unlawful content through the Product; or misrepresent the Product as official Linear or GitHub software.

We may suspend a license that is abused, refunded, or obtained fraudulently.

Intellectual property

The Product (except Linear and GitHub marks) is owned by apffth. These Terms do not transfer ownership. Feedback you send may be used to improve the Product without obligation to you.

Disclaimers

The Product is provided “as is.” GitHub or Linear UI changes can break the in-page panel. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, that identifiers will always parse, or that Linear will remain available. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for Linear, GitHub, Google, Chrome, Cloudflare, or Creem outages. Our total liability for a claim relating to the Product is limited to the amount you paid for the Product in the 12 months before the claim, or $39 if you have not paid.

Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including for fraud or personal injury where such a waiver is forbidden.

Changes

We may update the Product and these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. Material changes to paid plans will not apply retroactively to an already paid period except as required by law.
